Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

1. To assist in the training of Presiding Officers, Deputy Presiding Officers and Clerks. The training involves polling, counting and tallying process.
2. Assist in preparing training venue and the necessary materials for training.
3. Perform the duties of a Presiding Officer or Deputy Presiding Officer as will be assigned by the Returning Officer.
4. To supervise other individuals that will be engaged in the training of clerks and other election officials at the lower level clusters.
5. Assist the Returning Officer in carrying out all forms of electoral training.
6. Compile electoral training reports as directed by the Returning Officer.
7. To implement electoral training plans developed by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission.
8. To collect and ensure security of all election training materials.
9. To distribute electoral training materials at cascaded levels.

Job Requirements

Requirements

1. Kenyan citizen of high integrity, and be non-partisan;
2. Hold a Degree/Diploma certificate from a recognized institution;
3. Computer literate;
4. Have proven and demonstrated training skills;
5. Ability to manage people;
6. Must be available for the entire period of the exercise
7. Resident in the constituency/Ward in which they apply for;

Wages

Support Electoral Trainers will be paid Kshs. 2,000 per day
